Kelly Medina

Community outreach Coordinator

Kelly Medina is an undergraduate, child of Mexican immigrants, first-generation social work student at The University of Georgia. She became involved with U-Lead in 2018 as a high school student, then moved on to become a college coach in 2022, and now primarily does work within community outreach. Kelly is passionate about building community and making higher education more accessible for children of immigrants and immigrant students because obtaining a higher education is not only a dream but a reality for anyone and everyone. As an aspiring social worker, Kelly strives for social justice by promoting equity and equality to ensure all members of society have access to adequate resources, opportunities, and fundamental rights regardless of their socioeconomic and immigration status.
