Our Purpose

U-Lead Athens is raising awareness and facilitating opportunities for immigrant students and students from immigrant families to access higher education.

Our Programs

 

If you are interested in going to college and are an immigrant or from an immigrant family, come to U-Lead Athens on Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. We provide one-on-one and small group homework tutoring, mentoring to explore and apply to colleges, mentoring to identify and apply for scholarships, and support for DACA renewal.

By the Numbers

  • 60 students currently attend college with U-Lead Scholarships

  • 58 U-Lead students have graduated from college

  • 197 students attended U-Lead meetings at least once during the 2019-2020 academic year

  • 102 community volunteers in the 2019-2020 academic year
